I have this module to add text to a view component, and override the page title, meta description and meta keywords. I also have the functionality to additional css code to the general part of the head.
Usually there is no option in a menu item to add a description. With this module, and a simple template, you can text intro text aside, footer, or add text in any part of the component and override meta tags and page titles.
